HELLER-WEXLER FAMILY CAMPS 5776/2015-16

The Heller-Wexler Family Camp Series—created through the generosity of Robert and Amy Heller—shape and frame the Shabbat experience through hands-on programs and activities that explore the joys and challenges of family life through a Jewish lens. Originally created to address the growing challenges and changing face of the modern Jewish family, the retreats provide opportunities for families to enjoy quality time together while meeting other families and sharing experiences that make these weekends unforgettable! We will offer three Heller-Wexler Family Camps for the 2015 – 2016 school year.

Family Adventure Camp
November 13-15, 2015

(For families with children currently in Grades 3-10)

REGISTER NOW for FAMILY ADVENTURE CAMP!

Join us for a weekend of outdoor fun! We’ll venture into the woods around Eisner Camp for a GPS scavenger hunt, hike to Lookout Point, challenge ourselves on our ropes courses, “fly” on our swing and learn how to cook some delicacies on an open fire. There will still be time for crafts, sports and more! Our program will connect Judaism and nature so that we may better understand our role and responsibility to our environment. We’ll begin at 5:30 on Friday and we’ll celebrate a camp-style Shabbat together, with lively worship, song and Israeli dancing. Our superstar counselors will be on hand for some kids-only activities and to provide child care in the evenings during parent-only time in Manor House. The weekend concludes at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. This Family Camp is perfect for families who enjoy being outdoors together.

Family Ski Weekend
January 15-18, 2016

(For families with children currently in Grades K-12)

REGISTER NOW for FAMILY SKI WEEKEND!

Enjoy a family weekend at camp and on the slopes at nearby Ski Butternut, Massachusetts’s number one ski resort! We’ll begin on Friday at 5:30 p.m. and welcome Shabbat camp-style, with a lively, kid-friendly musical service, Shabbat dinner, song session, and Israeli dancing. Saturday, after another kid-friendly Shabbat experience, we’ll have an action-packed day of sports, crafts, games, family-challenges and more. Our superstar counselors will be on hand for some kids-only activities and to provide child care in the evenings during parent-only time in Manor House. On Sunday, we'll hit the slopes at Ski Butternut. Activities will resume at camp with dinner and continue into the evening. On Monday, we'll hit the slopes again and then head home directly from Ski Butternut. This Family Camp is perfect for families who want to try skiing for the first time, for advanced skiers, and everybody in between.

Mother-Daughter Family Arts Camp
April 1-3, 2016
(For Grandmas, Aunts, Moms, and girls currently in Grades K-10)

REGISTER NOW for MOTHER-DAUGHTER FAMILY ARTS CAMP!

Moms, escape to the Berkshires with your daughters for the weekend! Bring Grandmas and Aunts as well! We’ll begin on Friday at 5:30 p.m. and welcome Shabbat camp-style, with a lively, kid-friendly musical service, Shabbat dinner, song session, and Israeli dancing. On Saturday, after another kid-friendly Shabbat experience, we’ll enjoy our own arts festival with artists on hand to get our creative juices flowing. We’ll craft, felt, paint, dance, cook and more. Weather permitting, we’ll also be outside playing ball, hiking and challenging ourselves on our ropes course. While the girls are cared for by our superstar staff, there’ll be special opportunities for Moms to socialize with one another. We’ll begin on Friday at 5:30 p.m. and say good-bye at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
