On April 30th, over 70 alumni from multiple generations got together at Stone Creek Bar & Grill for the annual spring CLC alumni fundraiser. The night was a tremendous success as over $1200 was raised for the Camp's scholarship fund - a truly worthy cause, and the contributions from the alumni from the night will allow a child to attend Crane Lake. Thanks to all the alumni that attended; a great time was had, and we will be hosting similar events in the future. Many people might not know, but Crane Lake is a not for profit organization; scholarship and capital improvements require additional donor support, and the alumni stepped up to the plate and hit a home run. It was certainly a night to remember, and all who attended should take pride that their generosity will allow a camper to share the same experiences at camp that had a profound impact on our lives. We hope to see many more at the next event, and if you were not at the event, you can still make a contribution. Donate to the Scholarship Fund.
But the night was more than a fundraiser; it was a chance to see old counselors, reconnect with old bunkmates. Throughout the night, camp videos from the 80's, 90's, and 2000's played on the big screen, and we got a chance to see how much our hairstyles have changed through the years! Many stories were told; tales of midnite raids and evading the dubious paintballs, battle stories from color war, and other tales shared from the summer days high up in the berkshires. We look forward to seeing everyone at alumni day on August 20th.
